Jim Barrington's Story
STEVENS CREEK and LEXINGTON LAKE PEOPLE RECONNECTED:
I was somewhat the organizer for parties at the Stevens Creek rural areas and Lexington Lake, so I want to reconnect with all those who went to these parties, picnics. Too many people to mention everyone.
I used to dive off the pipes, 75 feet above the water at Lexington Lake at midnight. That was really dumb and dangerous !
Again, I mention these things only to try and remember some of great people we connected with at Peterson from Freshman to Seniors.

I graduated from college in 1975 and began using my real name, which is Jim McHood.
I made the Deans List and found out that if I actually worked "really hard" and applied myself, I was almost as smart as Britt Hammond on one of his off days !
After 15 years of various engineering roles within "Corporate America" at Intel, Digital Equipment Corp, Zycad and Cadnetix, I started my own ASIC (chip) contract design services company in May of 1997.
We have about 52 people in the company, mostly chip or embedded board and firmware design engineers and 4 sales / marketing people. I am VP of Engineering and Founder of Formalized Design, Inc.
Our clients include Intel, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, US Air Force, Fairchild, General Dynamics, Ford, Honeywell, Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies and others.
GREEN VILLAGE PROJECTS
Lynn McHood (Ott) my wife of 34 years and I also have a Ministry to build homes using the latest "Green Technology" for the poor in Costa Rica.
We have 12 acres in Costa Rica and are building a "Off The Grid" and "self-sustainable Green Village that supports about 60 people.
The Green Village will have a Learning and Leadership Insitute so we can teach others about "Renewable Energy", Compress Earth Bricks" building techniques and much more !
We now spend 6 months in Cariari, Costa Rica and 6 months in Monument, Colorado.

HOW I MET MY WIFE LYNN OTT
I dated quite a few girls in both High School and College... and then in May of 1975 I met Lynn Ott at a going away party at the Payne Apartments for a friend named Rich Jewell.
We were having a bar-b-que and playing tackle football and I bent my glasses. I saw a girl in a bikini coming back from the pool and it appeared she lived at the apartments too. So I asked her if she had some pliers to fix my glasses.
When I put my glasses on, I saw how beautiful she was and what...Expand for more
a great smile she had. So I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride on my motorcycle.
Since that day in May 1975, we have not been apart.... Lynn Ott, now Lynn McHood has been the love of my life for over 34 years !
We married in San Jose, Ca. on January 29, 1976.
PLACES WE HAVE LIVED
Lynn and I have lived in Boston, London, Phoenix, Monument, Colo. and Costa Rica.... And, it actually gets better and better over the years !
In Monument, Co we still snow ski, hike, sail, fish, work and play every year and also spend 4-6 months in Costa Rica working with our ministry teams and travelling in Latin America.
The temperature at the place we live in Cariari, Costa Rica is 70 - 85 degrees pretty much year round.
MORE OF OUR LIFE STORY
Lynn and I also graduated from a 3 year Christian Bible College together in 2002.
We have been involved with Jail and Prison Ministry for 14 years and the most recent 11 years we have started a ministry called Kingdom Transitions Ministry.
In addition to building homes for the poor in Costa Rica we provide free Spanish and English Discipleship material.

MOST MEMORABLE THINGS ABOUT PETERSON
The great faculty like Coach Rambis, Mr. Bucher, Mr. Battalia, Mr. Tuttle and many others. I really liked the caring spirit and friendly students from freshman to seniors at Peterson !
THE 2011 PETERSON REUNION
Lynn my wife, my sister Sheryl and Kathy and their husbands will be at the 2011 Peterson Re-Union. They also attended Peterson so we hope to see you there in 2011 !!
